Chemistry Biochemistry Club (Active Participant – 3 points)
As an active member of the Chemistry Biochemistry Club at Thompson Rivers University, I helped set up and clean up events, including the Erlenmeyer Cup, with a focus on minimizing waste and promoting environmental sustainability. Through my involvement, I became increasingly aware of the importance of green chemistry and sustainable reaction methods, which shaped my approach to research and reinforced the need for sustainability in scientific practices. I applied these principles during club activities, such as incorporating eco-friendly practices in a tie-dye event, while also encouraging fellow members to adopt greener chemistry practices.
